that will be your new reel christened then nicky
I heard its very snaggy mate but don't fish much on the north side, last I heard further up river was fishing better so St Peters or somewhere like that might be worth a try. Smiths Dock is also a good shot on its day on the North side.
Thanks Magpies - other place that looks good is the beach at Tynemouth - was going to try low water on Wednesday? - anybody any tips on where might be fishing ok?
low water on wed is 12.30 miday or 12 39 wed night, fishs well at nightime but not so good during the day unless you hit the northend slaty gut or the southend bathing pool skeer,if any type of sea on surfers will be out on the middle of the beach. davy.
I am new to the area and have just moved into a house in Tynemouth and was wanting a nice easy venue to fish to start me off. Was thinking about fishing the river at the Fish Quays at North Shields and any tips would be very welcome? Cheers Lads
Fished 2 hours down and 1 up and caught my first ever Tynemouth codling - a lovely 3lber - thanks very much for everybody's help and advice
