Its in this weeks sea angler. This is the quiet time of the season when its time to wash and clean everything down. Another 3 weeks and plaice should be in and its time for scaled down fishing and peeler crab time. I wish i could get them. Down south they get em by the bucketful.
Mick.

Unfortunately mate the Whitley Bay match was scratched due to the abysmal turnout (only two of us :o) so I just went for a few chucks anyway - would probably have won it though! I dropped by the Seaton Sluice club weigh-in on the way home & it looks like they'd had a pretty lean time as well - think there were only a few people weighing in single fish & think it was won with only a couple of pounds :(

Of course there's nowt to catch during the summer round here, should have put the gear away in January till the end of October and gone trout fishing....................;););)

Gary ;)

Never been out fishing since we shut our caravan in Drummore last November. Did toy with the idea of having a chuck locally in Whitley bay but never done it !!!! Getting too old for this standing on a freezing beach all night malarky I reckon !!!

Chin up though,we plan to go over Mon 22 March to open the van for the season and will probably stay for about a week.

Normally I do not find it worth starting fishing over on the MOG till May but if I get a decent day over there fancy trying to tempt a pollack or two on the lures. Will bang in a report if I do have a bash,

John

A pint or three does sound tempting LOL but we be may be off on another Australian trip then. It all hinges on our daughter getting her Australian residency sorted. If she does manage to get it we plan a 3 month trip this time.

Will be over on the MOG for most of the summer so if any of you NESA boys are passing the Clashwhannon site and fancy a cuppa/bit crack just tap on the door of No 5 if there is a car outside.

John

Give it a go

Give it a go

With the wind picking up it would be daft not to give it a go after tea.
Will try the Steetly tonight and fish the tide back down. Fingers crossed.
