ragworm and lugworm

hi guys im wanting to some research both for myself and my blog. can you guys tell me your methods of keeping ragworm and lugworm please]

I keep lug in a bucket or tray in the fridge replacing the water with new sea water every morning and night. Remove any dead or blown one. They'll keep for up to a week like that if the bucket isn't overcrowded and my wife doesn't complain too much.
Rag are pretty much the same but will tolerate warmer conditions so a bucket of water standing on the garage floor can be OK.

They’ll not last long without water. Wrap them in newspaper or try peat or moss for ragworms; still in the fridge. For long term storage without water, you’ll need to salt or freeze them, or both but that reduces their quality.

If I want to keep my lugworm 4 any length of time,I wrap them like a wrap of blks so that the werm is seperate n not touching each other,Kept like this I've kept them alive for a week easily

I like to individually wrap my rag worm in damp salt water soaked news paper in the fridgeskeep them like that for 3 days they go bright red then about 4 hours before I go fishing I individually wrap them in clean dry paper. There very docile in the fridge then once hooked they wriggle like mad.

Ragworm will keep for weeks in the fridge in trays with a few mm of seawater (so long as they're freshly dug ones, not the farmed stuff). Check them periodically & remove any dodgy ones and change the water every few days. The day before I want to use them I'll tray them out on fresh newspaper, & cover them with a few more sheets. I'll change the paper again at night then the following day will put them in another fresh batch of paper to take fishing. This drying process really firms them up and they go nice & red & lively....any not used are then returned to a tray of water and kept as above until next time.

Blow lug will keep for a couple of weeks or more again in a few mm of seawater, but I personally don't like to keep them more than about a week as they get a bit scrawny & washed out....when they start getting blocked up they're really on their last legs. Yellowtails are a bit more delicate & prone to bursting but again will keep for a week ok. I'll often salt them down if they're not going to get used in time & they'll keep that way in a tub of salt for months....nice & tough and I prefer them to frozen if they're to be used as the main bait & no other fresh worms are to hand.

All my worms are kept fridged but in the depths of winter the garage floor is ok for a few days if needs be.
