It is what it is. You will get Whiting and Flounder from the channel, drop another rod down the side and you will be inundated with small Coalfish with the chance of a decent one in among them. Always the chance of a surprise fish from further out but don't hold your breath waiting for one.
It is a very easy place to fish, sheltered from northerly winds and you won't lose any gear. On the other hand it is a craphole, like most easy fishing spots it attracts more than it's share of muppets who think it's fine to leave discarded hooks, line, bait wrappings and whatever else lying around.
