good day guys, i'd like to seek recommendation for a fren for a new zziplex, he's intending to buy. he's 1.8m tall, weight 120kg and wishes to use it with the reel high up. he wants to use it for long distance fishing. would the new primo synchro be good or should i recommend him the primo match? i would be delighted if anyone can point me to the right direction even if it's are other of other rod in the zziplex range.

You wont go far wrong with the Synchro, I have two, one for fishing and one for field work. Possibly one of the best allrounders on the market. Its a very user friendly rod, it doesnt bite, doesnt mean to say it hasnt got any grunt though.

Others to consider are maybe the M4, HSM, V-max F2 or Dymic LT14.

I have a HSM for fishing - it is very nice - the top 3 feet is fibreglass - meaning it is nice and soft and feels a fish fart at 150 yards - but the rest of the rod has a lot of guts and can easily pendulum cast a bait a fair old way.

Scott...

Primo Synchro - best all round rod (blank) impo.

In th eright hands will cast a long long way and wil fish anywhere from Bristol Channel to Mundesley.

thanks guys

If your mate has some experience with casting then the synchro is spot on,the new xtr is also a cracking rod, if he is new to fishing then the tf 50/50 is a bit more user friendly (not the match version!!) but will still do the distance! i have put mine 225 yds on a field. On the bearing issue try both, i think its a whatever suits you best thing, some people like ceramics some dont, a warning though if you buy ceramics check they are genuine two sets i bought off the internet from different people turned out to be steel bearings.

thanks guy, i guess i'll tell him his options.(i'm using a synchro myself:cool: ) as for the bearing issue, you're right stoweyman, i guess i have to try it myself and decide.thanks again guys!!
