record breaking

On a thursday night a couple of lads out of SSBAC go out and try to break some of tthe club rcords for difffrent species of fish.

by did we do that last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i set two new records just need to see angling chairman!

they were:

2lb 2oz mackerel and a 12oz herring

On board Karm

Me dad nearly did two but only the one, one is better than none

1lb dab which is a club record

he also had a plaice of 2lb 6oz which looks the size of 3lb\'s it was skinny unfortunatly.

Mr Charlton is around, Stephen e mailed me earlier for a bit of info. His mackerel is the biggest i have recorded for the North East Coast.

6lb 2oz from a boat, but the NFSA specimen size from a boat is 1lb 6oz. There we go - it\'s a specimen!

norman it was from the flatty beds (bak north pier) just messing about with the spinning rod at the time for herring picked the odd one up.

best thing about it was the fact that it was on the spinning rod with two othe mackerel on so must of had about 3 - 4lb in wait on the rod ee it was good fun hehe
