I was at Hartlepool Marina for a lift out and clocked their red diesel was 80p ltr and I was told by the marina staff that it was the same 80p ltr on their fuel pontoon or the pump just below the marina office an that's for commercial an non commercial, just help yourself and pay when ya filled up. The price for red diesel at North Shields fish quay is 75p ltr an that's where I buy most of my "cherry".
Am told that Royal Quays are charging £1.16 per ltr if you're using some of it for heating an claim 60/40 tax split.
Also heard that the RQ's boat owners are not allowed to buy their diesel anywhere else and bring it to their boat or even fill up on the pontoon outside the marina. Seems bringing your own fuel's a kicking out offence even though RQ's are charging 50% more than other places. Doesn't seem legal to me.
