Hi all does any one now who can service 2x 525 and 2x 525-2 and a 7ht turbo and how much does each one cost to service , I would love to have them running quiet when casting out in sted of a screaming noise lol many thanks lads

If you have lubed the bearings then the noise could possibly be an unbalanced spool

How do you balance the spools or do they need replacing

if it's a screaming noise it's most likely the bearings are goosed, not a big problem as they only cost a few quid and easy to replace. unbalanced spool gives a shaking, juddering feeling during the cast and caused by poor line lay normally, in my experience anyway.

Hi there I have repaced one set of bearings but still makes the noise and my other penn reels have only been used a hand full of times , is it me when I cast or the reels not to sure ????

the spool should be central relative to the cage and you should have a slight side to side play on it, check that mate

Thanks I will try that if it fails have to get some one to sort them for me

Your 7Ht Mag has pressed steel bars through the spindle which have to be removed as the bearings are located on the spindle so make sure who ever does it knows what they are doing as the shaft has to be fully supported when these are removed and only press out one way like a wedge but look like a straight bar.
The 525'S you can easily do yourself just make sure you centralise in the cage like others have said.
Rutherfords services reels for £5 and if bearings are needed then its a little bit more. Hope this helps or you could send PMR and then it will really fly.
