decided to fish the river today upriver of the a19 bridge for the last 3 hours of the flood, set up just before 11am and baited up with crab.

second cast got a flounder just under 1lb, next cast got a better rattle, rod just kept rattling so picked the rod up and wound into the fish and started to wind, got it half way in then the line started zipping back and forward in the water, thought this is no flatty then got it into the side and saw it was a bass, lifted it onto the grass unhooked and measured it, 45cm. that was it no more fish so very quiet day but well worth the trip for the bass alone. (sorry piccys aren't as good as normal, i forgot my camera and had to use the one on my phone)
