Well done mate:) and a bonus keepable codling isn't that bad.The bayside of Roker throws some suprises up even under flat conditions a SE wind is the wind i like to fish it in. I lost a big fish and i mean big when it was flat this time last year near the second set of steps, the line never snapped it must have just had one 5/0 in it and :(gave as it reached the surface. The first set of steps is a good shot, codling can be caught there most of the time especially Jan and feb with fish from 1.8lb to double figures, fresh crab takes some beating but worm and fresh shellfish are also great baits.

I looked over thr wall in the summer and you can see quite a few formations on rock and weed. Told canny for Kellpy cod. One of these days i,ll get down and give it a try.
