I have heard news of roker pier, i was speaking to the guys who are repairing the pier and the damage is worse then expected, The company who are replacing the foot railing have told me that up to now 44 foot railing have been replaced but they still have 51 more to do and up to last thursday no concrete work has been done so it is unlikely the pier will reopen this winter

i go down to roker every day and i only see workmen on the pier a couple of days a week.

theres not really much they can do at the moment. The main problem has been the fact that the sea has been big, making it to hazardous to work

surface concrete is the main factor for the public which can cause people to trip and injure themselfs so i guess the council dont want any issues or claims happening

The lads who are getting on in the dark are getting good fish, last week 8lb 7.5lb plus 5s and 4s.

one got 6 fish in 3 hours biggest 5lb,

its a rite mission 2 climb the fence like. i had a look 2day after fishing on the rat house. dont think id bother. if you get caught climbing the fence what action or penalties could occour.

couple of ways to get round but it should only be done in the dark,
