Roker pier

Went to fish Roker on Saturday but found pier gates were locked, a number of anglers had obviously ignored this fact and had climbed over the barrier/gate judging by the number of lights which were clearly visible...........and anglers wonder why we keep on loosing fishing marks.

maybe ya might felt better by ringing the cops instead of been jealous

or went to tynemouth or south shields or the heugh ,cambios pier or other marks and no one wud of blinked an eye lid

I remember when I was a kid, we would climb over. When the Lighthouse keeper finished his shift he would round everybody up, walk us down the pier open the gate to let us all out. As soon as he was gone eveybody would climb back on again. Ahh happy days.

Used to get our bait at Tennicks in Dundas street. I think it was about 1968.
