I'm planning an early morning session for mackerel off Roker, does anyone know if it's flat and the water clear? Don't want to waste my time if the water is colored.

It was really flat this morning first light from 4am till around 6am there was good amounts being caught but it died off around 6am.

Wheres best for them? I've never fished Roker so I'm a bit clueless.

SEAN,best place is from the roundhead,if ya cannot get on there fish as close to the end as you can get,sea side not bay side.Macky disappear at sun set mate

By the time I got there I couldn't get to the end, I ended up about 100yds further down. I only took 1 small pollock. Nevermind

Sean,i was there from 3 am until 6.50 am mate,caught a canny few macky.a couple of guys beside me caught nowt at all and had been there from midnight,there was also a group of young uns who had been on since around midnight.I was approx 100-200 yds from the roundhead.Did you see an old guy and a chinese woman fishing together? if so i was about 10 ft away from them,they came up and started fishing,the old guy was casting directly in front of me every cast and tangled me up quite a few times.Was pesterd by young uns coming up asking" have ya got a spare couple of skins mate" have ya got a filleting knife i can borrow asked 1 young un.

You probably walked straight past me, I had my black/blue bib and brace on. The kids next to me were taking drugs at half 5 in the morning!! They also asked me if I wanted to buy a bike. Forgot how annoying they can be.
4 of us on the end and them kids are a pain in the arse like.that lad who was trying to sell the bike wanted the money for more drink the shotter fecking hate diffy little chav`s.its going to be like that till the 6 weeks hols are over now am just glad i got 60 fillets of macky in the freezer now.was good to see you again jimmy lad shame i could not have a bit crack on with ya but our anth did not catch out and was in a right one.angry kid that one like,
