i use a gemini genie clip turned upside down tie some 10lb line onto it then at other end tie your lead link or lead clip. then you can just clip the rotten bottom onto bottom of your rig and your weight to the lead link.

the lead hangs onto the genie clip when casting and releases on impact.

I make them myself , the bead is a wooden one and floats to the top even if lowered into the water , easy to make mate

You can get rotation bottom clips mate you just connect you lead with some light line and it releases on impact the same as mentioned in the above post but these clips are for that purpose the way that's been mentioned is a cheaper way to do it and ad effective

Ive tried most of the ones available in the shops and Im a fan of the cannylink now produced by tronix - always releases unless you have the weak link too long and it tangles up - too many of the others have a tendency not to release the lead !

to be honest there are lots of good rotten bottom methods these days i just dont like changing what i have used for yrs;

and i definately would not pendulum cast with my way when people are about.

just looked at the pannel pin way and it does look easy to do , thanks guys
