ive had a load of sakuma 540 mantas snap on me,right at the bottom of the shaft,but had no problems with the manta extra 545s,the sakuma pennel hooks snap aswell,but the mustad Viking pennel just bends out of snags

I've used these with no bother , cheap and reliable , lifted a 6.5lb cod up Roker with one .

well never faulted mantas, I mean some of the extras strong as.
do blunt easy but hey- all the chemical hooks do.
lost a fish this year which had a head like a football, could of blamed the hook, but to be honest didn't have a chance as it was just half lipped.
I have been impressed with some of the offset hooks on the market which actually catch the side of the cods gob. get one hell hold. only down side is once there in a snag, say bye bye to shocker
never tried the power worms mind have to say
