well lads whats your thoughts on this line iv never used it before always used Daiwa Sensors or Ultima F1 iv never had any bother with thees i the past but was thinkin of trying Sakuma out

I started using Sakuma line in early 2011, and I have never went back since, its absolutely mint, just as good as Daiwa Tournament, if not better in my opinion, but is cheaper and has a thinner diameter per lb-age compared to Daiwa lines.

I use Sakuma Dark Crystal for all shore fishing needs, I use 20lb for summer (0.37mm dia), 25lb for winter (0.43mm dia) and 40lb breaking strain for the rocks (0.57mm dia). I have never had any problems with it, it is smooth casting and highly abraision resistant, as well as having great knot strength. I buy mine in both 4oz spools and bulk, thats how much I like it, keeping a constant supply for my match fishing and so on... :)

Trust me this line will 'knot' let you down. ;)

Hope this info helps.

Good move and choice mate.

I theres a few types and colours of Sakuma line, theres:

- Dark Crystal (brown)
- Lite (grey/ice) Crystal
- Nite Crystal (yellow)
- Red (day) Crystal
- Black Crystal

Always found the Nite and Dark Crystal line to be the best of the range, there shockleader and rig body line is very good too. :)

yes gordon iv used F1for quit a while but like Stevenswales the last lot i got it was just snappin for fun so i thought ill give Sakuma a try

Same here, F1 kept snapping and nesting on the reel too easily, same goes for Daiwa Sensor, so changed to Sakuma and have never went back since, brilliant stuff it is. :)
