saltist 30 or penn525 ?

am after a new reel soon, am after either a penn 525mag or a diawa saltist 30 cant decide wat to get will be using it for rough ground fishing over the winter am just after peoples opinions on wat to get a no alot of people on here use both reels so wats your views on these reels thanks lads Peter

have to agree there. I've got a saltist and they are brilliant.

I have both mate all be it an old 525, but I always use the saltist on the rocks, the Penn for my clean ground fishing.

Saltist 30 for me, I'v had one for a couple of years and it still performs like its brand new. A proper workhorse. Star drag on it works really well. Only problem I find is that the 30H doesn't hold much 30lb+ line so if you want great distance you'll end up emptying the spool. Not that distance matters much for a lot of rough ground fishing, fish are generally at yer feet!
