would love to spend Christmas away from home ie Scotland,nice and quiet,sadly the wife and kids might have something to say on that score although they are showing a bit of interest in going away just after Christmas ,i never ask for anything for Christmas rather spend what money i/we have on the family and kids

We (me and my g/f) have spent the last 5 Christmas Days on our own - and as selfish/sad as that sounds it's lush ....we invariably get up when we want (with a hangover) then the day is at our own agenda

I don't really ask for gifts either these days - the lamp I'll prob buy myself LOL

what kinda top ring you after stores loads of old rods in my shed ?

Gazza its for my old Bill Temple special that I use with the scarboro. The ring fits around the outside of the rod top and is whipped on from there. Have tried Frasers, Billys and Cecils without any luck so far. If the worse comes to the worse I can take the top ring off another rod but I'd rather not.
Thanks for asking. Will have a look at home tonight and see if I can post a picture.
