First match of the new winter league, we had 10 members fishing in flat and blustery conditions. 7 managed to weigh in as follows:
1st - Iain Galbraith - 7 flounders, 7lb 7.5oz (River Blyth)
2nd - Gary Wilson - 4 codling, 4lb 6.5oz (Rocky Island)
3rd - Paul Roper - 3 flounders, 3lb 12.5oz (River Blyth)
4th - Michael Thompson - 3 flounders, 2lb 8.5oz (River Blyth)
5th - Kev Moffatt - 2 flounders, 2lb (River Blyth)
6th - Gregg Norris - 1 codling, 1lb 5.3oz (Rocky Island)
7th - Mick Ure - 1 wrasse, 1lb 4.1oz (Colleywell Bay)
Heaviest fish- Paul Roper, flounder 1lb 13.4oz
For those who didn't go flattie-bashing, there were a lot of undersize codlings off the open shore, most around the 32-33cm mark.
Cheers, Gary
