scottish west coast

south west

Depends on the weather/wind on the day. I do not fish the Mull of Galloway in the winter but if I did would try the Yellow Isle/Port Patrick or one of the rock marks about half a mile south of Port Logan. If its a hard westerly I would snuggle into the "wall" mark,East Tarbet Bay.

You would be better off posting on the WSF Scottish forum - or checking their catch reports

Hope this helps

John

I hate to mention this, but why did you keep a dozen pollack? Rock marks in that part of scotland are sensitive to localised decimilisation and if everyone did this we'd soon have no fish to talk about. Local skipper Iain Burret fishes a catch and release strict system; if someone starts keeping every pollack they catch he moves away.

I'm not trying to cause aggro, but just ask that you think about these sort of things in future thanks.

errr... cos they taste nice??

I must of eaten hundreds from the west coast in the last few years!

Lmfao:D

Dan, if he was a complete numpty he would have taken all the fish he caught wouldn't he?? Nothing wrong with taking a few for the pot, it's not like he's up there every week doing it....chill man
