SCUM!!!!!! theft from the rnli

Couldnt agree more and about time this sort of pond life was shown some steel and birched!!.....ow how about throwing them in the sea a few mile off and see if they can swim back..
I hope the lads catch them at it.

every one on here know the perpetrators of this crime are the low down dregs of of our society, the problem here is the scum who committed this crime think in there warped minds [maybe think is a little to strong of a word for them]that they are decent everyday sort of guys, and that 's what really scares me.

Just a thought.......£450.00 - Anybody know what we've got in the NESA RNLI Account (or even if it's still going)??? Over the years NESA raised a HUGE amount and we've helped out RNLI Stations in our region from Amble in the north to Sunderland in the south. If there's not enough in the fund (or, as I say - even if it still exists)...how about raising the money and donate it to the Hartlepool station. For newer members, or those who aren't aware of NESA's RNLI fund raising, take a look in the RNLI section:

As said - just a thought

good idea mate, it'll be nice if we could give something back after them lads regularly put there neck on the line to save anglers.

over 200 views and only 7 replys?????? i thought there'd be a better response than that lads. some you's might need these lads if you get into trouble out fishing. look at the risks they took responding to the sad events of last winter.

The annual NESA Boat Competition from the Royal Quays always raised quite a sum and so did the auctions, Tony.
I,m for seeing the boat comp brought back to life and am always willing to help if it is ever reserected.

I missed this one, ack, don't think there's much else to be said about whoever it was other than to hope they get caught and at least double the loss taken back from them and given to the station as punishment.

Would be nice to get some of the old fundraising going again as TC mentioned. Comp's are good but how about some family orientated idea's aswell (though probably better suited to the summer months) eg crab catching for the kids based on set area's with a leaderboard for a bit of fun... I'll wait now for the jokes about how many crabs you can catch in Blyth on a Saturday night ;)
Not sure if we have any "geocachers" on here, but if enough people have hand-held GPS then we could have a geocache style hide-and-seek around the coastline perhaps (hide small containers with a 'log-book' inside, publish the GPS locations to within a small radius along with a clue and then others have to find it and sign the book, put a marker tag in for the first person to find it to take and use to claim a small prize per container)...
just chucking idea's out...
