The silent majority
The silent majority
Hi folks,
hope everybody is good?
i just want to add something to some of the comments being made about people who don't get that involved with some of the chat on here, and don't post on a regular basis.
I am one of those people !

I get on when i can, and i look to find out if there are any fish coming off, and to look for latest tackle tips.
I only contribute to threads where i think i can add something positive, and helpful.
Living in the middle of the country, and with a demanding job / family, and other fishing interests, my time available for chasing cod is very limited. It has to be planned, especially bait sourcing, so yes I do glean info. from the site, and i will state that i am very grateful to those that do post.
Thing is, as with a lot of forums at the moment, some of the reactions on here can be intimidating, and so a lot of guys who don't have all the best gear, can't designate the time, don't have the expertise, or confidence, stay in the background.... and who can really blame them ?
All I ask is don't tar them all with same brush !
At the moment I fishing with 4yr old frozen crab & cart, managed to stock up with blacks 2 year ago,( Who-hoo fresh bait ?

), do i catch loads...no...do i enjoy myself ...yes ! It isn't work, it is my me time, and I enjoy the craic of other anglers !
With claim jumpers...easy...don't be so specific..a general area will suffice...the majority will fish their favourite mark anyway...and are just interested to know if there are a few fish about!
I have met some great human beings whilst fishing...and to be honest very few bad ones !
" Fishing a night session @ Outgang Whitby last year and a bloke walked from a 100yd away to offer me a tip light for my rod, as he thought i couldn't see any bites, he didn't realise i had 1/2 a dozen in my bag, but don't like using them, as they make my eyes go funny, preferring to use tip tape and my headlight!....that summed up an angler to me !"
