landed at seaham bout 1 1/2 before low water and fished an hour into the flood, fished a gap in the rocks a few hundred yards to the north of featherbed rocks. first time there and it looked a decent shot (backed up by a couple of very chatty locals) tried baits at thirty yards in the surf and baits at distance (bout 60 yards, still in the surf
) to no avail. is it more of a high water or maybe night time venue? anyway, decided on a move, fancied steetley as not been there yet but opted for roker as its not so far home afta
fished about 50 or so yards down from the roundhead. long story short, both of us blanked (yet a bloomin gain
) counted over thirty rods this afternoon and saw nowt come in
(proper sh*te like). good few boys heading on for an evening sesh about 6 bells as we left so here's hoping they have a better time than us.
