When do the books become available for Seaham Pier and where can I get one and cost. I dont live in the NorthWest so an internet site or telephone number would be great.

Cheers

By books do you mean tide tables? If so theres loads of free apps to download if you look.. You can join seaham ang club first week in january, membership lasts for 12 months.. They have a website, the details - phone no. etc should be on there.. Happy fishing :D

Hi gout, you have to join to fish the pier.. You can join anytime although you still have to rejoin again in january.. When you pay up you get a key to access the gate at start of pier also a rule book etc..

No waiting list mate.. Best to phone to make sure someone at clubhouse when you arrive, you will need to take two passport photos though. One goes on your pass and one to keep on record in clubhouse.. Hope this helpful mate :) any questions or queries the lads on here will help out..

Was a member many years ago and now I've taken up fishing again will join again next January. Unlike my day, I hear you cannot get on the South Pier at all these days though - is that right.

Hows the Blast fishing at the moment - going to give it a shot next Saturday night?

Hi robbo seaham club are busy trying to regain use of the south side just need to byed our time with dock company these things take time.
The blast fished well on sunday first 3 places came from the blast area.

I was a member but gave up. Both me and my son were nearly washed off twice by rouge waves. I lost gear.. Also fed up with very slippery surface.
Mck.

Cheers Geordie. Going on the weather forecast Blast it is.

Been a while since I was on there - any tips on where to be, Point end or nearer the Harbour or does it not matter. I reckon with a big bait and a 5 oz lead I'll be fishing at between 110 to 125 yards out. Is the Blast still a distance shot or will that be ok at night you reckon?

its not the best pier tbh , but when the fishings good its an awesome venue .

hopefully when they do the renovations in years to come , it will be made a lot safer for the bigger tides.
