much happening fishing there nextweek on the boat. anyone know whats been working and whats not?

Ninja, The only boat going out from Seahouses with any reglarity is \" Guide Me \" and he has just been targeting mackeral. Some of the small private boats have been pulling in some decent cod and pollack on a variaty of baits and lures. Best bet is to ask around at the harbour on the day your going out.
 
Ninga - The county house SAC held its challenge match at seahouses yesterday.
We booked two boats, the Unity skippered by Matty and the Madonna skippered by Gavin. Overall there was over 110 cod came aboard with lots of
undersized fish. Our club size for cod is 40cm, there was allot of fish between 30 - 40 cm that did not get counted.

At Slack water: Casting baited hokkia\'s and retrieving
As the tide turned flowing traces c/w beaded spinner blades, lug, rag & Mussel

Along with the Cod there was allot of small ling & big wrasse.

Alan skipper of Guide Me was also out and it sounded as if his party had a similar day.

I was on the Guide Me yesterday and we had quite a good day. I weighed in at just over 23lb of cod (gutted) and we had some decent fish (5 - 6lb cod) and a couple of decent ling up to just over 9lb. There was very few mackrel caught even though a couple of the lads were trying for them at times. The biggest ling was caught on daylights tipped with mackrel and it looked like all 3 hooks caught it as it spun. My best was about a 5 1/2lb cod. No-one blanked as far as I know and it was fantstic weather. Good day out had by all apart from I must have lost about a stone of lead - AGAIN. I heard over the radio on the boat that there were a couple of doubles caught by another boat.
 
Aye its rocky down there, my bag is normally lighter when I come back in
from a session off Seahouses.

We also heard that conversation over the radio, I think the guy said it was a boat out of Blyth had a 17lb er & 13lb er earlier yesterday morning, I\'ve not heard much more????? Anyone else?

Your right about the weather, I\'m feeling the effects now!

I would appreciate any infromation about the catches from the boats out of Seahouses, if anybody would be prepared to pass it to me.
 
I\'m also feeling the effect James. I come back from Portugal a couple of days before the trip so didn\'t bother with the sun cream due to the temperature difference. I must have used half a bottle of aftersun since then just on my face lol

I was ill yesterday, Cracking idea about the aftersun however my
lass appears to have used it all, just waiting for lepper flaking to set in!

fished guide me on saturday had around 20 size fish (cod) to 6lb. well over 100 size fish on the boat. fish taken on bait and lures. although the pirk with a muppet below (and above holding the rod) fished well. lug seemed to be the best bait. good day had by all.
skipper and boat were fine although the boat is a little old it runs fine and is easy to fish from. also cheap.
