Seaton Sluice - High Tide Rock Marks?

Fished a few spots around Sluice on a low tide, never even thought about high tides before (other than from the shore at Collywell bay). Any of the rock marks around there worth a shot at high tide?

I've tried the little bay at the top end of Old Hartley a couple of times in the past with no luck on the high tide, but both times masses of loose kelp washing around was the problem.

You could always try behind the Kings Arms, nice and sheltered from the wind. Easy access from the small field to the south of the pub, never had any big fish from here but plenty to about 2 1/2 lb. You could also try the Sumps, I find it fishes well just after the turn at high water. However DO NOT fish the sumps if there is a big sea running or you could end up over the back of them into the gulley.

Jim.

Cheers Jim, that was actually the area I was wondering about bar your suggestion being further around to the south than I had thought (I was wondering about straight out from the back off the pub ie where the old harbour cut through the rocks is), thinking about later in the week so I'll have a glance down at high tide after work tonite or tomorrow.

Magic, cheers for the info, will post to say how I got on (hopefully in the catch reports!) later in the week..
