As you can see we have extended the boundaries for this years open and brought forward the match so the scope for good bags of fish is increased.Given calm clear conditions the kelp beds in Northumberland will still be holding red codling and wrasse while onshore winds normally see lynemouth/Newbiggin fish well early on.The prize table for this open is already one of the best you will see this year and growing all the time so pencil this date into your diary and we hope to see you all there!

Looking forward to it gav,have had good bags from lynemouth aug/sept for the last two years with fish to 5 and a half pound virtually in the middle of august last year also remember geof king telling me about his spell on look north after hauling in a 13lber off the back of the kings ..again in september..after one of the all nighters..couple that with a canny prize table will make for one the north easts best opens this year
