Tried the rocks off sluice harbour at high tide yesterday. Not a dicky bird, so we decided to drive down to Tynemouth pier. It was still open so we couldn't get on so fished the haven. My m8 got a couple of flatties (undersized would be on over statement! Ha!) and me other pal pulled in a flattie around 33/34cm. I got nowt, gutted! I was only after christening me new reel, I would of happily taken one of the little flatties! Anyways, pier closed so we got off the end, casting off the back. An hour went by and nothing seemed to be bitin until I got a couple of little knocks and then bang, I was in! Pulled in a canny 2lb, maybe 2 1/2lb wrasse. I was ower the moon, more so because I didn't blank on me new reel, happy christening!
Baits used: rag, crab and mussel. Wrasse caught on rag n crab...

I'll try n get a photo on when I get in from graft.

Well done mate atleast ya didnt blank
