Hi All,

Do any of you use Lead Heads,Shads or Eddystone Eels etc. to success over the Wrecks in our area? If so, any advice you can give? What trace lengths? What colours work best? What sea state? Deep water or inshore wrecks? Do you still bait them up?

We are thinking of giving it a try on the Volante in the summer and any help / advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers Jeff.

I use them every year now and had some good catches.Clear water is the only time to use them, i find a fair drift is best as a slow drift or slack water results in snags most times(for me anyway) orange lead heads n twin tails are far the best (in my opinion)

Let us know how you get on.

I am ordering my supply of jellies , shads , and artificials for the year . Any input would be welcome on items that are actually proven or have been seen to work .

TIA

fish jellys/shads on either a long trace upto twenty feet long with a small leadhead dropping to the bottom and winding say 30 turns before repeating or as I prefer on the hopper rig basically the same but with a short trace 3-5ft. This is worked over the wreck as pirking but with a slower action try dropping the shad/jelly over the side of the boat just below the surface and see which action works best for each lure. Don\'t use bait as this will ruin the action of the lure, depth isn\'t important but as Ricn says water clarity is.

Storm wildeye shads and fishtec luminous shads have without doubt been the most effective for us. Fat tail grubs and twintails in orange yellow or lumi can also be deadly, use the six inch twintails/ grubs but try cutting off the first couple of segments off the body so the point of the hook is nearer the tail to improve hook-ups.

type in the box down the bottom abd press return or click send and thats it,

I you are struggling to log in for some reason, log in as my alter ego nobby

mark,

I\'ve done all that and when I press the chat box it does not take me to the chat room but returns to the log-in page ?????

strange that, cos we could all see you as nobby and cupidstunt. what browser version you using?? anything over explorer 5 should be ok

have you tried launching the link in upload bit to get chat in seperate window
you should get it straight from http://nesa.cibs.org.uk

or http://cibs.org.uk/oi/phpMyChat.php3

Jeff.....
Apologies if it looks like your topic has been hi-jacked. Just trying to sort Dave out with getting in the chatroom.
Once he\'s sorted, I\'ll delete all this stuff from your thread, m8.

Dave,

were you using your AOL browser??? Just trw;ed through the servers tats and can see you trying to log in. its reportting aol7 and win 98. Don\'t know if this might be an AOL issue - anyone else out there using AOL\'s browser tried to chat??

have you got explore 5 or above to try??

we\'ll get there somehow.

If need be I can age the code back to an older version which AOL might be happier with

Hi Topecatcher,

Thanks for the Shad advice..................I guess I have someone to blame when I catch nowt now!!!

Much appreciated,

Jeff.

Dave / Mark,

I found thet I had exactly the same happenning to me when I tried to get in the chatroom via my work computer today.
Entered login name, entered password, clicked on the \"chat\" button - returned me straight back to the log-in screen.
However, when I tried to log-in again, I was told that that user was ALREADY logged in.

I clicked on the refresh button and ........there I was in the chatroom.

Just a suggestion, Dave, it might work......try logging into the chatroom again and if you still get shunted back to the log-in screen, click on refresh (or hit the \"F5\" key on your keyboard).
