Bert was away this morning so Kyle (assisted by Kenny) skippered the boat and I tagged along for the ride
We headed out about 5.30am expecting heavy seas, there was a slight swell but not too uncomfortable, unfortunatley the ebbing tide made it difficult to fish the normal hot spot, we did however pick a few up before moving further south. This was the story of the morning really, a few fish on most of the inshore wrecks but nothing like the numbers we've had the last few weeks. We did have a few drifts on a 3 mile wreck but again a few codlings & mackeral but no great numbers.
We ended up with 17 cod (biggest 7.5lb) & 1 ling.
Well done Captain Kyle!!!
