Lenny needs a fish

Well-known member
headed down for some mackeral at 8:00 I was into to mackeral on my first cast
then it was a mackeral a cast ended up with catching 15 gave a few to wako.
best mackeral session for me. there was some good codling coming in aswell :D

Aye it was a cracking morning everyone catching, and a seal pup gave a laugh trying to pinch one of the lads mackerel off his daylites lol. Loving my new spinning rod had great fun with it today, I was getting a bit worried the amount of macky Lenny kept bringing up.

Nice to put a face to a member name from hear spoke a few times to waco but never knew he was waco here, cracking lad.

It made up from last nights session at the walkway where I blanked, and Lenny caught 2 just sized whiting, absolutely shattered now.

I'll be on the end there on sunday, to WIN me match...;)

Well done on ta catch of Mackerel. I find using daylites for mackerel now absolutely no sport. Spinning with a single spinner, getting the most sport from a mackerel, is the way forward. :)

Me 3 lol I caught about 6 on the spinner and lost a few coming up the wall, although to be fair to Lenny he had his spinning rod out but had no joy. As soon as I set him up with the big rod and daylites, (after he got his lure snagged) he was bringing them in like no tomorrow.

Last few sessions for him have been really bad with the odd macky so it was great to see him pulling some in today for a change, the saying "dad I'm snagged" still exists after lots of the lads told him to reel in faster and not touch bottom haha.

he did'nt do much wrong this morning trhe amount of maki he caught proves that , tell him not worry over the odd blank session, a know quite few excellent anglers who blank, so tell not to fret about it too much, enjoy your fishing lenny and the big uns will come eventually

Including me... :D

I was on there on Monday night for a few hours. Was spinning for mackerel and ended up with half a dozen and a weaver. I also caught a seagul which unfortunately my weight went straight through it's body, in one side and out the other :(

I finished the day off on a high though. As dark was setting in I decided to change tactics and postitioning and tried spinning slow and close to the bottom for any nice fish hunting for feed. This paid off on second cast when I landed a nice pollock of 4lb on the nose. My best from this shore by far :)

Aye too true that mate.

@Mogthemackem that must of been a trauma dealing with that, I thought it was rare catching birds I caught one myself a few weeks back, since then I hear a story every week of people catching them. Sounds a cracking pollock that aswell mate well done.
