Me and mate fished shields the day at 44, kicked off at about 10:00 and caught fish from the off, whities, coalies and dabs, pretty miserable and more windy than I thought it was going to be but at about 13:30 the wind stopped and then within 5 minutes me and gary pulled in a couple of decent codling, first me, classic slack liner and then this-
Weighed in at 3lb 12oz.
The swedish slapper off the mark. I'll tell you what, this is the best reel I've ever used, it's just a dream to chuck, infact I think it's impossible to nest. I'll have to start messsing around with the bearings to see if I can improve it which will be hard. It just goes a mile trouble free.
Anyway, no sooner pulled in and gary gets a one-
And that was it, the wind picked up again and no more takes.
ps. I've found a use for Glasgow Angling supplements, their good for filleting fish on and binning
