Shields Pier 23/11/11

Six of us had a ride through to Shields and got on the end of the Pier for bout 9.30 in the morn. We had to climb round the gate, but won't go into that debate..
Fished till about 4pm with some cracking bait including Dungy blacks and yellows and fresh crab....one Dab to show between the six rods. Shocking ain't the word. Nice day and good crack with few of the Cleadon Club lads. Better than doing housework though. !!!!

Been like that for atleast couple weeks now, been having to head north to catch any coddies, but still a good day had by all happy days.

Iv come to the conclusion that when the conditions are right, then it it will fish...However , fish have been caught on slack water ,flat as a fart tide.....did you climb round Ian or were the gates open

Nah Paul. Even though the guy was painting the gates and had the key, he said we had to climb round. Who am I to argue. So I climbed over the gate on the scaffold lol
