Shields Pier should be open, unless the water coming over.
It will be open to about 22:00hrs.
But need to watch out for mackerel bashers especially after 4 cans of Fosters.

It was closed yesterday when I passed around 3pm, no idea why as it looked pretty flat in the harbour but with the surf cast maybe that's why.

I was told on Tuesday by the pier watchman the gate's are closed for three days as they are replacing railing posts.cheers
