If i wanted to fish Marsden lads is it a case of walking down the steps near the lift and straight out onto beach to fish. And would car be ok. Visited couple of days ago and looks a bit desolate. See they charge for parking during daytime hours.

Hi mick, I fished last Saturday and left car up there all night, park in front of grotto restaurant doors and there's a camera, not help against thieves but deterrent anyway

a mate of mine usually parks in grotto gardens just for peace of mind and walks through the cut bout 150 - 200yds from the grotto cark, have never heard of out happening to cars but is a bleak place when grotto is closed

If your fishing all night I would park in the street that runs along side the coast road you can walk through the cut to the grotto then you won't be worrying about the car all night, think its called grotto road

I just use the stone steps at north end of the beach (much easier climb) just park in the lay by north of the round about and ice cream hut. it's free and always cars passing, dog walkers and runners about.

Hi mate, park on the u bend of car park theres no charge. As for its safety there no gaurantees but I never had any problems . As for the fishing the better marks are the three bays south of the grotto only accessible on ebbing tide and first few of the flood.
