I do love my TLD15's and have three of them, they have been used for everything sea fishing wise from the boats but i am rather sick of their achilles heell AKA the bearings, i seem to need to change them about every 18-24 months.

Anyway thanks to Keith, i have had no issues with purchasing a few and i am now needing to order more as used my last 4 servicing my three reels for the 2014 season.

I get my replacement reel bearings from Ebay and have found the site very good in terms of price, delivery and quality. The ebay site is actually called "reelbearings".

Yer thats the one Chris, i got it from Keith as well and used 6 bearings since on 3 reels ha.

If you order any added 2 on for me please n split the postage...also if you drop your reel off i can service it for you if your unsure, can almost do it with my eyes closed now... :)

Champion just need the weather and time to finish it off. Itching to get out at sea but long range forecast is East after east winds :(

what on earth are you doing to them Richy, never had any problems with the bearings in my TLD15 and it got some stick I can tell you

Use them 40-50 times per year and wash the reel once in March and In November i oil it :) left on the boat the full summer season...ow and winding in a skate with one of them never helped.

They are poor bearings, seem to get flats very easy causing the reel to feel lumpy when winding in, for the price of them i now just change the bearing every season before taken it on the boat, a bearing is not even the price of a pack of squid thanks to Keiths website he found.

TLD15's not really meant for skate fishing
