some fantastic fish there mate, puts our fishing to shame

Thats what you get when you have sensible fishing quotas and regs, not the "balls up" we have in the EU.

I remember when the fishing was as good as that on our coast, plenty of Cod and Jumbo Haddock....

I am shcoked at the pollack, never knew they got them over that way just big coalie...thats some haddock, my biggest is a poor 2lb 4oz from Souter lol

That one was just under 10 pound but ive had them to almost 20! we get alot of good ones from the boat and nice ones realy close to rocks on the end of the pier

Cheers

Marty we are going over in Febuary when we should have a better chance of bigger fish but Phil said the summer is good for bigger numbers. Dark loads when we go but 24hr sun in the summer.

Phil will be best for more info. Think he's got a link to his site on here.

Thanks Greg, I have already been in touch with Phil but I didn't ask when was the best time. I have alredy been to Iceland this year and that was in June. Loads of cod and haddock and dabs, but struggled to get anything bigger than 8lbs. althogh there were a couple around 10 lbs caught.
Cheers
Marty
