Shortage of fish !! Amble SAC

Results from Amble SAC sweepstake fished on the River Aln, Sunday 14 March.

Fishing up to high water, the anglers struggled from the start to find any fish, with only FOUR flounders being caught.

A nice fish of 1 lb 10.5 oz was enough to secure both heaviest bag and heaviest fish prizes for Eddie Ide.

This was a really disappointing result, even at this time of year there should be more flatties than this being caught. There were even NO crabs !

been very poor lately thought the flattys wud atleast give some sport cheers for the result anyways

Flounders have gone to spawn now, anywhere from feb onwards but they have defo gone now.
