Thought I would give it a go last night. Got there to discover 5 people already fishing. Went past them all and started fishing using fresh crab. First cast got hooked into a fish but had to snap it off. Quiet for a while, but did see 4 cod caught among the others who were fishing a sea league match. About 10pm managed to catch and land a cod of 4 lb 7 ozs which was weighed and then returned to fight another day. One more bite which didn't come back. Left at 11pm. Out again tonight.

I,m down the Pool tomorrow. I,ll see if the angling shop has any crab.
I actually bought some more blueys today so i,m going to whip these on this time.
Looking forward to the day. Nice high tide at 4;30 pm.
Sounds like you had a nice fish at 4 1/2 pound.

down the beach this morning with dog, what a tide, i was actually standing on the rock/weed ends that you cast to from Slatey, never seen it that low for as long as i can remember
