So with the weather putting paid to a boat prep weekend...what do two frustrated anglers do with their time?

Make more shads of course :D

Lovely new colours to try...I think we have identified which are our favourite shapes too - just hope they catch fish! :D

We just need a break in the weather now

Looking good :)..and a touch of glitter added as well...:)

Have you counted how many you and Norm have made so far

Great stuff lads, can't see how they can fail.

We managed to do some sanding despite the weather, not too sure what the HSE would make of 240V extension sockets lying in puddles but nothing shocking happened. Jim was busy in the wheelhouse and Shady now has some canny storage for tools etc :)

They look rubbish Tony, chuck them out you won’t catch a thing with them. All the colourings and plastic chemicals in them will make them hazardous waste requiring specialist disposal, that I can help you with.
Seriously though, the fish round here are in for a hard time when you unleash the Slinky Shads; they look better than the shop-bought ones.

Eventually the season will start ... (I hope)

Oh well in the meantime, with the wash and brush up called off, just another day lure making :) :) got to keep stocks topped up, however, it's difficult at the moment as we don't know which is best ...... so keep making them all :D :D :D "just in case" ... got some real nice St Mary grubs ready for the spring run .......

an afternoon with plastic ... :) as ever thanks for all the help Tone, the fluro colours look like they'll be good uns  cheers

chris "Have you counted how many you and Norm have made so far  " .... Lost count but I would put it at over 250 .... (maybe a lot more :) :) :) ) .... so they should keep us going until the real wrecking starts in June ....

250 :o...You and Tony have been busy Norm, if you get a cod on each one, it will be a great season :)

The fat orange ones look great :)

If they only get a cod on each one it will be a very expensive season :D

They all look great, no way they won't catch fish , one thing just occurred to me though from Chris' post , how resilient will they be when the fish are hard on them ?
I hope you both get to find out really soon ;) :)

The same question was raised today during production...answer is we don't know, but hope to find out :D

Technical answer is that there are hardeners (ooer) for the plastic if the standard mix is too soft

Yous must have half the UK's rubber supply there lol.
Just watched the UK's forecast for the coming week:( easterly's, then northerly's:( so you could use up the rest of the UK's rubber supply before the water clears:rolleyes:. Nice job lads:thumbup:
