Converted a slidy mag 525 to a knobby mag from black dog, only about £15.00 delivered to your door,if u don't want your ratchet the mag more or less goes straight in,if u want the ratchet retaining,it's a diff process;)
Ps if the spools metal it's easy if u got the old slosh, there plastic so a metal plate needs glueing in,in order for the mag to work, obvisously plastic isn't magnetic, just glues in,basicly makes the plastic spool become metal(magnetic)
Hope this helps.

I dont use rachet any way so would take it off iv searched the net for a mag for a slosh but carnt find any is it just the same as an abu or a pen 525 mag m8

can't see this benefitting a slosh m8
Agree davey,I got a 20 an a 30 run mine on the factory blocks, also got a bg 30 running on blocks all run fine for me,never had any issues with e'm.Some lads like the greater control of the mags, suppose it's a personal choice;)
Have a look at black dog specialist tackle bigfella,u will see wot u want on there website pal:D

Anyone who says there is no benefit from magging a reel is loosing yards on there cast. If you mag a reel you can set that reel easily with a few turns for it to run at the ideal speed for your casting style. Also loosen the mags during a cast can add 20yds plus to a cast. Also to get a reel running ideally with break blocks can be a pain as I find 2 is to slow one is a bit fast if there is a wind from any direction but behind you. To the get the reel to run perfect you have got to look at changing the consistency of your bearing oil which again changes after use. Rutherfords does a mag conversion and fitting service.

anyone who ask's for casting lesson's then advises about magging a reel will loose yard's on casting anyway...!

stick 2 what you know...!

I never said you lose yds by magging and what's wrong with admitting I need casting lessons? I am stuck at a certain distance and can't get past it

Would a slowcthe reel dwn alot as im a novice realy lads

m8, in my humble opinion, the slosh reel's are the best a have used, lad's, a said, a have used....!

get a service, get some rocket juice added. go on the beach/football field and cast by cast you'll get there.
av never looked back.

there will be lad's who say get it done. or this reel's better, am just talking with my experiences.
good luck m8

You can have it slow or fast mate it gives you more controll as you can adjust is by smaller amounts at a time

My latest toy is a fathom with a chris macey mag conv, wow that baby fly's:Dwithout the mags,on the blks 2 was to slow 1 was to lively(no control)now I can adjust wether I want it fast or slower for a big head wind n to suit the conds, runs superbly;)
