Slosh 20

Sound advice davey,bulletproof rnt they:D

they are that m8, every bloke to his own,

but the lad asked a question,

a used to be s**t scared of multiplier's, then a lad on here, ray price, did exactly what a said, took me on the beach, and after a few hour's a was hitting over 100yd's.
anyway, a can't fault the slosh, why alter what's not broken....?

Yeh nowt wrong with that davey, multi's have come on a long way m8 since the old days,so much user friendly now, sure r when there running rite.
Reels r a bit like rigs,we all have our favs, each to there own an all that jazz,if your happy then your happy:Dtightlines everyone:cool:

I thought it might help in any way

Nowt wrong with asking a question pal, that's wot it's all about,if u don't know ask, iam sure the above answers will have helped u n other anglers that share a passion for this gr8 sport that is fishing:).Realy can't beat it on here, plenty of knowledge just ask;)

can't see this benefitting a slosh m8

Agree with that comment aswell.... Find the slosh runs perfectly fine, not too fast but casts pretty well. Depends on casting style to an extent I guess and how much control you have over the reel when using it. Some of the quicker reels could defo do with it but not the humble slosh IMHO. :)

Hi mate. I magged my slosh a couple of years back and haven't looked back since. I get so much more control of the reel over the standard blocks. As already mentioned you will lose the ratchet.
Try magging it and if you don't like it take it back off and put the rachet back on. It's simple enough.
But believe me mate my reel flys with the mag

As already said, no need to mag. Used them for years and for the coin they cant be beat. Plus if you put it in place of the rachet it just gets in the way when your reeling in. If its not broke dont fix it.

Why do modern reels have mag controls rather than break blocks?pnly problem magging slosh is you need a metal disk on the spool or the magnet does not work then make sure the spool is balanced and away you go

I got a slosh 20 to mag m8 as I already have done to my bg 20 ;-) I have added distance to my cast in doing so. (Not as many variables to think about) like brake block oil thickness tension on spool spindle etc etc imo. Incidentally the kit that comes for the slosh has an aluminium disc to fit the spool. There is nothing magnetic in alloy it has to do with magnetic fields generated by the high speed revolutions of the spool, that is when the magnet comes into play just so yas know if you want the scientific jargon lol

The newer model has a metal spool,I think ?,the slosh has a plastic spool:rolleyes:
Cracking reels tho I must say.

Thinking of putting mags on my two 30's, running yellow rocket fuel, 1 large block at the mo and run great.

But just every now and then, the odd time, depending on the direction of the wind, doesn't matter how i cast i get the line fluffing up on the spool & having to thumb it to slow it down, and getting the odd over run.

So for the sake of £15. ? per reel, this will enable my to adjust the spool speed through the cast.

The only down side, losing the ratchet, as i like to use it when threading the line through the guides.

Get fiber blocks as the red plastics ones are pony! put e'm in for a practice casting session... totally obliterated e'm.

Just my take on the topic.

a think the 30 is a better reel than the 20, and wouldn't mag either, that's just me,
you've already said they run great. so why change.
the best fishermen in the land have nest's and over run's....!

Fished for years with sloshs and can pendy chuck one as far as magged reels so why change it ? Al tell you why, to keep up with the jones' thats why.

I think the jones have better reels than a slosh it's a simple easy way to controll a reel but getting the best out of that reel

So is centrifugal breaks. You like to bump your gums mind, ah think reg is right about you. You have more patter then a centipede waring flip flops.
