slosh 30 help

i have a slosh 30 and i have just oiled it up but oiled every think and now it reel backwards as well help ?

Check the anti-reverse (the little pin that engages under the main gears) - either it's come adrift or it's not engaging properly, might just be sticking but either ways should be an easy fix.

Here we go, it's been a few year since iv stripped a slosh down but if I remember right there never had an instant anti reverse on the driveshaft as the Penn mags and new modern reels do now, if you take the side plate off on the gear side you should see underneath the main drive gear a metallic pin that jams up against another cog beneath the drive gear, this may of slipped out of position and is not connecting with the cog when the handle is reversed, it's quite a simple fix and if I find my slosh I will take it apart and take some pics if you are stuck. You dont need to take the shaft or anything apart, you just need to take the side plate of and check under the drive gear and the anti reverse pin should be there and pointing towards the cog
