Can u do any modify upgrades to these reels if so wat cheers

black dog tackle might do mag side plates, but other than upgrade the bearing, or tune the ones existing by cleaning, replacing the oil, messing round with centrifugal brakes of different compounds and finally spool tightness.... thats about it. Suppose you could bore or port the side plates where the spindle sits so its free'r running.... might work. But their a big heavy ground reel made to take heavy lines fishing tough conditions. Rough ruggad reliable and simple... i wouldnt mess around with one too much.

rutherfords have a mag conversion. that would be rutherfords in sunderland. u will lose ur ratchet and there is also abec bearings u can fit.
