For years I used slosh reels for fishing rough ground with 40lb line.
They would last a couple of years then ready for the bin.
4 years ago I got the saltist 30 for fishing the rough ground. Over night all my sloshes we're gone and I got a few saltist, they are twice the price of a slosh but they are twice the price for a reason.
The one I got 4 years ago looks battered but it still runs smooth and is still working and I have never opened it up.
Once you have a saltist you won't use a slosh again.

personaly for rough ground fishing were the reel gets battered I would go for sloshes I don't think a saltist are twice as good as a slosh but the price is double

had my slosh30 for years still going strong always use in heavy ground and never lets me down but am not saying I wouldn't try a saltiest like

best reel ave bought is the saltist 20 got a 525 and a slosh 30 n always use the saltist you wont be disapointed

No lol saltist 20s are very poor casting distance whys black ones are slightly better but still poor

Buy a saltist30, black one has all crb thingy bearings, mint reels, then when you finish fishing with it wash it, dry it and tuck it under your pillow there look that great. but yeah don't cast as well as my 525's but tonnes better than the 535 knobby it replaced. If your fishing off a pier is a 525 not adequate as your higher up so don't need the lift a 535 or saltist would give you. As for sloshes never used one but watched Big Phill blow onw up enough.

Love my sloshes nothing wrong with them I can chuck mine a fair distance and its never let me down. Get the grease out of them and hoy some oil in and it will run mint. If its for rough ground I'd defo go with a slosh there £100 cheaper and for that price you am have 2 sloshes.
