Whenever i take mine for a service he usually does them the same day, the reel would be spot on for wrecking, braid is the way forward with a 10 foot shock leader attached, 9/10 boat anglers use braid now...

Cheers jester you have just saved me £100+ , I was looking in shop today at just buying new boat reel because I wanted to keep my slosh 30 for just beach work plus it does not have a level wind which I'd prefer for the boat. Picked up bigger swivels and some booms? Also some 10oz leads so now just need reel fixed and some braid then I'm ready to go wrecking yey lol
