I've tried to sponge it down with warm soapy water but it was still honking when i packed it away

If it's that bad mate I'd seriously consider looking at a new one

wash it in the washer mte then wash it again with a thing called nit wax mate works a treat

My suits kept in the garage and luckily her indoors doesn't go in there very often or it would be relegated to the shed.

Any good outdoor shop.....and its called nixwax. Grangers do a similar product, you can also get the non detergent wash that helps prolong the life of the water repellent, which is washed prior to the reproofing nixwax.

ramblin in dean road south shields sell it, so a guess any decent camping shop or similar shoul sell it.

If you can fit in washing machine try a wool wash with out soap powder and dry it properly and a good airing does it for my waterproof gear

will have to have a go at that, bit let tonight, after the number of times I have washed my suit in the washer it must of lost it's waterproofing

Washed My Floaty Suit a while Back with Wor Lasses Underwear !!!

NEVER AGAIN !!!

Took Me Months to get the Fishy Smell out my Suit :exclam: :exclam:

goto the pound shop get some armarin code r summik, fill the bath, pour the aftershave in, put suit in, nice n fresh n ready for a neet oot.

I washed mine in the washer without fabric softer on cold wash. If you put it on warm wash or with softner & take the proofing off it you can also respray it, the mountain shop at the royal quays sells the waterproofing spray for 7 quid or summik.
