tried smith docks today from high to low for a few hours. not a bite using rag n makky... lots of people out, seen nout caught but nice weather I could feel my fingers and nearly fell a kip it was so warm. some guy gave me a pack of makky and loadsa rag, much appreciated! might use it up tomorrow at st peters early doors

was there myself had four small codling, guy inbetween had small flats and someone on the high shore had several eelpout. poor day really but the weather was kind. first time out for weeks - recovering from a prosthetic bone implant in my hand (ouch)!

I think it's only decent in the winter, and with it being as snaggy as it is at times I'd rather head to a rock mark if I'm gonna lose stuff,

Strange as a couple mile closer the sea its a fish a chuck and the Launce have turned up on Shileds pier...had a full walk along the coast today as with the boat fishing not starting yet i am dusting off the shore gear in the morning for a sesh :)

tried st peters to finish off the bait, had 3 flatties and 2 whiting. better than nout! :) good luck northeast1 its still pretty tough atm! fishing seems to be a bit better at first light by the looks of the reports
