Fished the above tonoght 1700-2200.

Bait used was rag and herring.

I had 2 Tommys and 1 Flounder.

Also got 2 cracking bites which pulled me into snags.

All in all a nice night (considering Ive blanked my last to sessions), the river was like a mill pond and no breeze at all. Had to leave at 10 as I couldnt feel my toes.

well done mate!
sorry i couldnt be there tonight!! is the flattie a dab mate??
it looks dabish haha!!

Thats what I thought as soon as I brought it in.

Only ever seen Flounders landed there so assumed it was a Flounder.

i checked the texture of its skin and it was smooth one way and rough the other.

Hopefully someone can confirm what it is.

(hopefully it is a Dab for my species tally).

Yeah its a Dab, A Dab's lateral line curves like a semi circle close to its head where as a Flounders lateral line is pretty much straight all the way up to its head

Deffo a dab mate they have big protruding eyes compared to there body size and have semi circle curve in there lateral line well done on new species.
Rossy
