As some will have seen I'm selling me stuff off.

Mixture of losing interest, and not getting any enjoyment from fishing anymore really.

A few times I've been out this year its seemed more of a chore than anything else, and it was getting to the point that when planning trips there was always the wind/rain/tide etc that would put a block on it.

Year or so ago I just went out when I could, didn't check tides, weather etc and had a good time, so I don't know if I was just trying to over complicate things, but anyway, whatever it is, Im not getting the "buzz" anymore

I'm sure some if not most of the people here have done or thought similar, and I'm sure that in a year or so's time I'll probably regret it.

I'll still pop in here now and then like, to see reports, and keep the mackems in check:D

Anyway, cheers all, tight lines ;)

Know what you mean about over complicating things. When you try to get everything right you tend to get out less and enjoy it less. You probably will miss it though.

Make sure you keep some stuff mate, you never know when you'll get the bug again and it makes it harder to get out again when you've got to run around buying gear first.

sorry to here this mate, your best off just putting it in the loft or garage cos like you say in future you may regret it but I suppose this close to xmas the money can always come in handy eh? good luck with whatever you decide mate, mick.

All the best Gary

Im sure the bug will come back and there will always be the joy new gear brings.

Drop me a line if u need to borrow some gear for a session as I have a spare M4GT im sure you would get away with:)

Cheers

Listen to the lads and keep some gear mate . It'll cost you a fortune to replace it when you get back into it.and I bet you will want to start again some time

Aye will miss you around the forum Gary, seemed like a top bloke from the bit I have seen from ya since joining

All the best - keep at least 1 rod and reel handy!

If you dont need the money theres no point selling it, you'll be driving a long the seafront one day, see a big dying northerly and be absolutely gutted :D:D

if you don't need the cash keep it, pack it all away somewhere, never know when you might get your mojo back!

you'll have to keep an eye on the non-fishing chat in here like, all the mackems will just pick on me now!:D:D:D

check in for their relegation meltdown:D

tightlines & good luck

Been where u are now gary " sometimes its good to have a break and pursue some other interests but believe me mate its in ya blood I think the advice some of the lads are giving u about holding gear back is sound advice .I gave it up for about 3 years but I started working with a lad who wanted to go fishing and got the bug again and found I love it even more now anyway m8 all the best and still look forward to your crack on the footy

Keep your gear Mate as you definately regret parting with it. I have done this three times in the past and regretted it ! Its also very costly to recoup the kit that you wish you had kept. !!!!!!!!!!!!

cheers,

aa.
